Nissan estimates up to 38 MPG combined, and pricing starts at $35,490 MSRP for the SV.

When the Rogue Hybrid Arrives
Nissan confirmed the 2027 Rogue Hybrid for the U.S. in September 2026. The first vehicles to reach dealers this fall are the SR with the SR Technology Package, and Nissan says early supply will be limited. The SV, SR, and Platinum go on sale in early 2027. Contact Young Nissan of Riverdale to get on our list for incoming Rogue Hybrid allocations.
If you need an SUV sooner, the gas Nissan Rogue is available now with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
How Rogue Hybrid e-POWER Works
Most hybrids send power to the wheels from both the gas engine and an electric motor. In the Rogue Hybrid, the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine never connects to the wheels. It charges a 1.67 kWh battery, and the front and rear electric motors do all the driving, so you get instant electric torque with no transmission to shift.
Instant response
Electric motors deliver torque right away, which makes merging onto I-15 and passing on US-89 smooth and quick.
Hybrid efficiency
The engine shuts off entirely when the battery has enough charge, and it runs on regular unleaded fuel. No charging required.
e-Pedal driving
e-Pedal lets you slow to a full stop just by lifting off the accelerator, which makes stop-and-go traffic on the Wasatch Front easier.
What an Ogden to Salt Lake City Commute Costs
A round trip of about 76 miles, five days a week, adds up to roughly 19,000 miles a year. Here's an estimate of annual fuel use and cost at $3.50 per gallon, with the two main rivals for reference.
| Vehicle | Combined MPG | Gallons per year | Est. fuel cost per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid SR | 38 (Nissan est.) | About 500 | About $1,750 |
| 2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid AWD | Up to 42 (EPA) | About 450 | About $1,580 |
| 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid AWD | 37 (EPA) | About 510 | About $1,800 |
Estimates only, based on 19,000 miles per year and $3.50 per gallon. The Rogue Hybrid figure is Nissan's estimate pending EPA confirmation. Your actual mileage and costs will vary.
Rogue Hybrid vs. Toyota RAV4 Hybrid vs. Honda CR-V Hybrid
These are the hybrid SUVs most Rogue Hybrid shoppers compare. Each has clear strengths, so here's how they line up.
| 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid | 2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid | 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid | |
|---|---|---|---|
| All-wheel drive | Standard on every trim, dual electric motors | Available, electric motor powers the rear wheels | Standard only on Sport Touring and TrailSport |
| Combined MPG (AWD) | 38 (Nissan est.) | Up to 42 | 37 |
| Cargo behind rear seats | 31.1 cu ft | 37.8 cu ft | 36.3 cu ft |
| Max cargo | 65.9 cu ft | 70.4 cu ft | 71.8 cu ft |
| Max towing | 1,500 lbs | 1,750 to 3,500 lbs, by trim | 1,000 lbs |
| Total system horsepower | 225 hp | 236 hp (AWD) | 204 hp |
The RAV4 Hybrid leads on fuel economy, towing, and horsepower, and both rivals offer more cargo space. The Rogue Hybrid stands out with dual-motor all-wheel drive standard on every trim, an all-electric drive feel with e-Pedal, and more power and towing than the CR-V Hybrid. Figures from each manufacturer as of September 2026 and can vary by trim.

Driving a Rogue Hybrid in Northern Utah
Standard dual-motor all-wheel drive, a dedicated Snow mode, and 8.4 to 8.5 inches of ground clearance make the Rogue Hybrid ready for winter commutes on I-15 and weekend trips up Ogden Canyon to Snowbasin and Powder Mountain. The system adjusts torque between the front and rear motors continuously, so traction is there before you need it.
Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel come standard on the SV, and the Platinum adds heated rear seats. If you need a third row, our team can show you the Nissan Pathfinder, or compare a smaller crossover like the Nissan Kicks.

Nissan Rogue Hybrid FAQs
How much does the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid cost?
The 2027 Rogue Hybrid starts at $35,490 MSRP for the SV. The SR starts at $37,490, the SR with the $4,000 SR Technology Package comes to $41,490, and the Platinum starts at $43,490. These are Nissan MSRPs as of September 2026, excluding the $1,575 destination and handling charge, tax, title, and license. Contact Young Nissan of Riverdale for current pricing on incoming vehicles.
What gas mileage does the Rogue Hybrid get?
Nissan estimates the Rogue Hybrid SR at up to 40 MPG city, 36 MPG highway, and 38 MPG combined, based on internal testing. Official EPA ratings haven't been published yet, and SV and Platinum ratings are still to be announced. It runs on regular unleaded fuel and never needs to be plugged in. Actual mileage will vary.
Does the Rogue Hybrid have AWD, and which trim is best for Utah winters?
Yes. Dual-motor all-wheel drive is standard on every Rogue Hybrid, with a Snow drive mode and 8.4 to 8.5 inches of ground clearance. For most Utah drivers, the SV is a strong winter pick because it includes heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The Platinum adds heated rear seats and ventilated front seats. Dedicated winter tires make a big difference on any trim.
Should I choose the Rogue Hybrid or the gas Rogue?
If you drive a lot of miles, the Rogue Hybrid is the better fit, with 225 horsepower, standard all-wheel drive, e-Pedal, and a Nissan-estimated 38 MPG combined. For a 76-mile round-trip commute to Salt Lake City, that works out to about 500 gallons of fuel a year. The gas Rogue makes more sense if you want a vehicle right away, or if you prefer the option of front-wheel drive.
What warranty comes with the Rogue Hybrid?
The Rogue Hybrid's battery pack is covered by an 8-year/100,000-mile limited battery warranty, whichever comes first. The rest of the vehicle is covered by Nissan's new vehicle limited warranty and powertrain limited warranty. See Young Nissan of Riverdale or the Nissan warranty booklet for complete terms.
How does the Rogue Hybrid compare to the RAV4 Hybrid and CR-V Hybrid?
The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid earns better fuel economy, up to 42 MPG combined with AWD, and can tow up to 3,500 pounds on some trims. Both the RAV4 Hybrid and the Honda CR-V Hybrid offer more cargo space. The Rogue Hybrid comes with dual-motor all-wheel drive standard on every trim, drives entirely on electric motors for a smoother feel, and offers more horsepower and towing than the CR-V Hybrid.
When can I buy a Rogue Hybrid at Young Nissan of Riverdale?
The first Rogue Hybrid models, the SR with the SR Technology Package, reach dealers in fall 2026 in limited quantities. The SV, SR, and Platinum go on sale in early 2027. Contact Young Nissan of Riverdale to reserve an incoming Rogue Hybrid.
Can I test drive a Rogue Hybrid at Young Nissan of Riverdale?
