The 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road is the beginning of a whole new Tacoma generationand Toyota apparently decided the old truck wasn't complicated enough, so they added turbo power, an 8-speed transmission, and considerably more attitude. It still looks like a Tacoma, still does Tacoma things, but now it feels like somebody hit the fast-forward button about 15 years.
This 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road is finished in Black and powered by Toyota's 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and 4WD. The TRD Off-Road is exactly where a lot of Tacoma buyers want to land: serious off-road capability without turning the truck into something you have to explain to your spouse every time another box of suspension parts shows up at the house. It's ready for trails, camping, hunting, snow, hauling gearor spending 98% of its life looking extremely prepared in the Costco parking lot.
